Your information
Privacy policy.
Effective October 21, 2026
Remote Escape Plan is run by Wahvo Inc., a company based in Canada. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit remoteescapeplan.com, create an account, use the course, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@remoteescapeplan.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, an account identifier, sign-in records, and what we need to keep you signed in.
- Google sign-in information: if you choose Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and whether it is verified, and basic profile details such as your name and picture. We never receive your Google password. We don’t ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar or Drive.
- Learning information: the exercise answers and progress you save, and the course access linked to your account. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information about yourself or other people.
- Reviews: your rating, review text, display name, your permission to publish, and our review notes. An approved review can appear publicly with the display name you chose and a label for your access level. If you delete your account, an approved review can stay on the site under that same display name, with nothing linking it to your account. Withdraw it first, or ask us, if you want it removed.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you ask for help.
- Technical information: our hosting and sign-in providers handle things like IP addresses, browser details, request times and error or security logs so the site works, stays safe and we can understand how it’s used.
Payments. Stripe processes your payment details. We receive a transaction reference, the purchase status and the amount, which we need to manage your access and help you with support. We don’t store full card numbers or security codes.
How we use it
We use your information to create and secure your account, run the course and save your work, manage your access and refunds, answer support requests, send messages about your account, publish reviews you agreed to share, measure and improve our ads, and look into errors or misuse.
We don’t sell personal information. We don’t use Google account information for advertising, and we don’t use it to train general-purpose AI models. Signing in with Google does not subscribe you to marketing email.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to store your data, run the website and send email. Google handles Google sign-in, and Stripe handles payments. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and some may handle information outside Canada and your own country.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Our site uses the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. It tells Meta which of our pages you visit, which job you pick in the free idea finder, and whether you make an account or buy the course. Meta can connect this with your Meta account, if you have one, and uses it to measure our ads and decide who sees them. We don’t send Meta your email, your name or your course answers. You can limit this in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
The people who run Remote Escape Plan can see your information when needed to give support, maintain the site or review submitted reviews. We may share information if the law requires it, or when it is reasonably needed to protect people, look into abuse, or protect our legal rights. Approved reviews are public. Your private exercise answers are never published as reviews.
Cookies and browser storage
We use sign-in cookies to keep you signed in. The course may keep unsaved drafts of your answers in your browser’s local storage, so you can recover them if a save fails. Your browser also remembers whether a small site animation has already played, and how you found the site. Meta’s Pixel also sets its own cookies to measure our ads, as described above.
Clearing your browser data can sign you out or remove unsaved drafts, but it doesn’t delete anything already saved to your account. On a shared device, sign out and clear site data when you finish.
How long we keep it, and keeping it safe
We keep information for as long as we need it to run the service and for support, security and record-keeping. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. Some records, such as payment records, may need to be kept to follow the law or settle a dispute, and deleted information can stay briefly in our providers’ backups.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), sign-in checks and database access controls. No online service can promise perfect security.
Your choices and requests
You can sign in with email instead of Google, edit your saved answers, and withdraw a review in the course. You can remove Remote Escape Plan from your Google account in your Google settings. Doing that doesn’t delete your Remote Escape Plan account or your saved work.
To see, correct or get a copy of your information, to delete your account, or to have a published review removed, write to hello@remoteescapeplan.com. We may need to check that the account is yours first. If we have to keep something, we will tell you what and why. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, including the right to complain to your local privacy authority.
Children
Remote Escape Plan is for adults thinking about work and careers. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will look into it and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and change the date at the top. For important changes, we will tell you on the site or by email.
