How it works

Different starting points.
Different paths.

Four routes. One plan built around you.

Start with the work you already know. These routes are alternatives, not a sequence. You may pursue one and keep another as a backup.

Your starting point

What you
already know

Make your current career remote

Look for a remote version of the work you already do, with your current employer or another organization. A negotiated remote arrangement may be a place to start.

Move into an adjacent remote role

Use your skills, judgment and industry knowledge in a related role. The work may be different, while your existing experience remains valuable.

Work independently

Turn your expertise into freelance, contract, consulting or service income. This route also means finding clients and taking on the risks of running a business.

Retrain when necessary

Build new skills when the other routes do not offer a suitable, realistic path. Learn with a specific direction in mind rather than starting over by default.

Remote doesn’t always mean anywhere.

Remote income can give you more choice over where you live. Location restrictions, time zones and working arrangements still matter.
